React Dictionary

This dictionary was built as part of the SheCodes React Bootcamp using the JS React library.

Working on this project helped me solidify my understanding of core React concepts, such as states, event listeners, array mapping, API integration, and storing input data.

React Weather App

As one of the final projects for SheCodes React, I built a weather application using the JS React library.

Working on this, I learnt how to work with React components, React event listeners, React states, loops and forms, as well as how to call and use an API in a React application. I included a React external component to implement animated icons and used the dependencies Bootstrap and Axios.

The app currently has a unit conversion on today's temperature. In the future, I am planning on adding a conversion to Fahrenheit on the forecast as well.

Weather App

I built a weather app as part of the SheCodes Plus workshop, using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap and Vanilla Java Script.

I truly enjoyed working on this project, as it really helped develop my understanding of Java Script; I worked with an API using Axios, I learnt how to utilise loops, format dates, and handle data submitted via forms.

In the future, this app could be improved by implementing a unit conversion to Fahrenheit.

NOW Music

Memory Card Game

A memory card game used in NOW Music's promotional campaign built with HTML, CSS3, and Vanilla Java Script.

This app was a really fun way for me to improve my coding skills whilst engaging NOW fans. It helped broaden my understanding of conditional rendering. I also learnt some neat CSS tricks to create the flipping effect of the cards.

To make this card game even better, I would like to add a modal box in the future, with a congratulations message once all of the cards have been flipped, and an option to play again.

Quote Generator

A quote generator built as part of an Udemy JavaScript Bootcamp, using HTML5, CSS3 and Vanilla Java Script.

I used an asynchronous function to fetch a random quote from an API. There is an option to tweet the quote by clicking a button.

NOW Music

Customizable Christmas Card

I spread a little bit of a Christmas cheer with this customizable Christmas card 🤶 This project was built as part of NOW Music's promotional Christmas campaign. Our fans were able to fill in the form to create a personalized Christmas card. There is a button to download the card to your computer.
